The only rule is that you have to keep the tools, negotiate with prospective buyers and collect the payments yourself. All I offer is a free listing service. This is a great way to sell if you are not in a hurry. It will produce good results with no surprises because you set the price in the first place. However, it might take a while before you have a sale. In the current economic climate you should be prepared to wait or negotiate on the price. Auctions/tender sales are a great way to sell larger numbers of lots or entire collections within a relatively short time. Auction results are less predictable and can work in your favour or not. Given the auction results of the last three years I would not recommend selling a collection by auction at this time - unless you need to move it fast. This option is only available for entire collections .
