Tools at the Fernvale Country Market

After 10 months of getting up at 3.00 am I can report that Janine and I have missed only one Sunday. Actually, we lined up outside the gates but when the rain came down we decided to head back. So expect us to be there. And expect us to bring more and better tools, antiques and collectibles. In fact, we're convinced that given a chance, most buyers prefer to buy at live venues. We've tested it with some of the lots from the last sale. Results at live venues were consistently better by up to 50%. Incentive enough to keep getting up early.

Every Sunday, Fernvale State School Grounds, Brisbane Valley Highway, Fernvale, 6am to 12noon  - except for rainy days.

Janine & I decided to get amongst the real folks, again. Yep, we can handle the "what is it?" and "my Dad has a shed full of this stuff!"

Janine sells her toys and odds and ends,  I handle the hardware. No great economic benefit is expected but we both enjoy the Fernvale country market atmosphere and we see this simply as step towards a more relaxing way of selling tools well into retirement.

Don't expect me to schlep all my tools up the hill. The vintage van my nephew left behind when he returned to Switzerland wouldn't be able to make it. In fact, few tools listed on this site*) make the trip to Fernvale but I do keep a nice selection of users, bargains and the odd gem.

*) If you want me to bring any tool from the site please let me know before Sunday.
