A planimeter is a mechanical instrument used to compute the area of a planar
region (irregular shapes) This makes this instrument a sort of a calculator.
I guess this is an early 20th c. example made in Germany as indicated by the
label inside the box. It has no maker's mark, only the number
16040 punched in the arm near the calculator wheels. It looks complete
and seems to be in very good condition. sold |
